To protect our self and our family we must know about Megan’s Law, the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act, this law prevent people from sex crime. Megan’s Law was named after a girl named Megan that was kidnapped, raped, and brutally murdered by a repeat violent sex offender, Jesse Timmendequas. The exact location of any previous Sex Offenders is now considered to be public record and by law. NationalSexOffenderlist.org keeps a record of the number of prior sex offenders residing in each state, state rankings based on number of offenders per state residents, and a change indicator that compares a state previous national ranking to their current rank status.
